How Maclocks helped Shiseido enhance customers' experiences
The Customer
Shiseido is a major Japanese hair care and cosmetics producer that was founded in 1872 in Tokyo, making it one of the oldest cosmetic companies in the world. With the creation of beauty and wellness as a mission, Shiseido Group is a multi-brand company which operates its businesses over the world including Europe, United States and Asia. It is the largest cosmetic firm in Japan and the fourth largest cosmetics company in the world.
The Challenge
Shiseido has deployed consumer-use iPads at their cosmetics counters to bring digital technology as an enhancement to the customer experience at various points of sale. The iPad is there to provide extra product information, and for customer consultations. Shiseido needed their iPads to be approachable, yet secured and controlled on their terms. It was important for the iPad kiosk to be as trendy as the brands reputation.
The Solution
Maclocks iPad Lock is a hard, clear plastic case you can leave on for everyday protection. Since the iPad has no security slot, the case has one built in so you can lock the security cable to the case, and loop the cable’s other end around a fixed object (like a table). Weighing less than one pound, the cable is extremely sleek and its lock-head has the smallest diameter of any computer lock in the world. Shiseido paired this iPad Lock with the Security Rotating Stand which keeps the iPad flexible, light, and stylish.
Customer Feedback
“Maclocks cases are sturdy and versatile, adding the perfect touch of technological elegance to the Shiseido counters”.
